JOB SPECIFICATION – HEAD OF FINANCE
 
 
 
Job Function: To manage and control the full finance function of the company, which includes monthly reporting, monitoring of company performance and providing financial guidance to management. Guiding system development and managing risk.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Competitor analysis
  • Strategic planning
  • Risk Management (cash, insurance)
  • Treasury management within a securitization structure (inclusive of fund raising)
  • Preparation and management of budgets
  • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Provision of management information
  • Full spectrum of tax management
  • Overseeing the company secretarial functions.
  • Financial modeling of business (including cash flow modeling, pricing, RORAC etc)
  • Optimization of systems and processes.
  • Custodian of company’s controls.Staff management against KRA’s.
 
Challenge in the Job:
  • The ability to provide relevant and timeous financial and management information, and manage risk within acceptable levels.
 
Qualification:
  • CA (SA)

Reporting Line:

  • Chief Operating Officer

Reporting Staff:

  • 8 staff members
Experience and Requirements:
  • 10 - 12 years post articles
  • Good Communication
  • Creates a good skills
  • Has a high technical and professional level of knowledge (High achiever)
  • Capable of problem indentification and applying good judgement in problem solving
  • Ability to tolerate stress
  • High in initiative
  • Good leadership qualities
  • Capacity to monitor and regulate the accomplishments of delegated tasks
  • Sound planning and organising skills
